Description

this will be scrapped when i upload the colored version within a couple days. this is just the WIP

i drew this earlier from inspiration from my fiance, Brent. somehow we got into a debate about Adam and Eve, and which was the worst sinner. dont ask me how we got onto that discussion, but we did. anyway, i said that Adam was, since he believed Eve and ate the Apple from the Tree of Knowledge. he said Eve was the worse of the 2, because he's a guy and since she took the apple. but Adam had a choice as to not eat it. and anyway, in all the stories, he took the 1st bite, not Eve. therefore, Eve just took the Apple, but Adam ate it. so he's the 1 who shouldve been punished worse than Eve.

there.

Eve
Eve was equated with the goddesses Asherah (Hittite) and Hathor (Egyptian). Asherah was a Serpent Goddess.

According to the Bible, Eve is Adam's wife, created for and named by Adam. She was created in the Garden of Eden to be the wife of Adam, as he was lonely.

According to the Jewish book called The Alphabet of Ben Sura, Lilith, not Eve, was Adam's first wife, created at the same time and from the same dust. This could account for the double creation of Adam and Eve in Genesis (seriously, check it out...they were created twice). Claiming to be thus created equal, she refused to sleep or serve under him. When Adam tried to rape her, she flew away from Eden into the air. So God made Eve from Adam's rib to be his second wife.

Adam and Eve have two sons, Cain and Abel. After the death of Abel, there is supposedly a third son, Seth, from which Noah is descended. 2 daughters are named - Azûrâ and Awân, who was born after Seth, Cain, and Abel. Cain's twin sister was Luluwa, and Abel's twin sister was Aklia.

Early feminism says that Eve was deceived by the Serpent and therefore sinned in ignorance. She confesses her sin and God does not banish her from Eden. Adam, however, sinned in full knowledge and does not repent, and is therefore assigned the blame.

Eve clearly didn't make the connection between God telling her NOT to do something and that thing being wrong. She acted on her feelings and desires; she wanted that fruit to begin with I am sure. That's WHY the serpent could tempt her. Eve really cared about HERSELF more than the word of God, and SHE even went as far as to trick Adam into sinning with her. Adam wasn't susceptible to being tricked by the serpent, Adam KNEW that God had told him NOT to eat from that tree, and only his love for Eve, coupled with Eve's trickery could blind him. Yes, Adam sinned as well, but he was SUPPOSED to love her... he simply let his for FOR HER overwhelm the word of God in that moment... and it was enough...

If I had to pick who sinned more, it was DEFINITELY Eve, who sinned first, and Adam suffered for her sin as well. The sad thing is, I can all too easily imagine women today doing the same thing that Eve did... and will try to justify it under some "free spirit" piece of baloney. Sin takes away one's freedom, and only GOD knows what freedoms we OUGHT to have. Keep in mind that Eve could have eaten from ANY other tree in the garden, so it isn't as if God is keeping her from eating by prohibiting her from touching this tree. And God treats both Adam AND Eve equally, as NEITHER of them can eat from the tree (Eve isn't being singled out here.)
